    Requirements:
    OS: Windows XP up to 8 (32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64))

    Installation proceeding:
    Download the latest version of PythonXY:
    download PythonXY
    Consider the installation notes

    Mandatory python-packages for ConFem:
    Scipy
    Numpy
    Matplotlib
    ETS

    Recommended python-packages for general use:
    setuptools: Easily download, build, install, upgrade, and uninstall Python packages
    scikit.image: The scikits.image SciKit (toolkit for SciPy) extends scipy.ndimage to provide a versatile set of image processing routines.
    xlrd and xlwt: Extract and create data from and to Microsoft Excel spreadsheet files.
    IPython: A comprehensive environment for interactive and exploratory computing. Also provides ipdb
    Spyder: Scientific Python Development EnviRonment: designed for interactive computing and data visualisation with a simple and intuitive user interface.
    pytest: Simple powerfull testing with Python
    cx_Freeze: Deployment tool which converts Python scripts into stand-alone Windows executables (i.e. target machine does not require Python or any other library to be installed)

    Hints for the installation of package which are not included in PythonXY:
    Easiest way will be the installation using an *.exe or *.msi file.

    Otherwise follow the instructions from install python packages:
    download the package, unpack it and type into Windows console (START->Run->”cmd”) or python console (IDLE)
    python X:/path/to/unpacked/package/setup.py install
    (Check version in IDLE:

    import [package]
    print [package].__version__
