11.3 reinforcementDesign

This option must be used when running a Reinforced concrete design using ConPlaD. It creates a file <name>.reinforcement.txt. The option has one data line

design value of the reinforcement strength

$f_{cd}$

design value of the concrete compressive strength

$\rho _{x,min}$

minimum reinforcement ratio $x$-direction – as is, e.g., stipulated by common standards

$\rho _{y,min}$

minimum reinforcement ratio $y$-direction – as is, e.g., stipulated by common standards

$h$

geometric height – only relevant for slabs, set to 1 for plates

$d$

structural height – only relevant for slabs, set to 1 for plates

 

geometric height or thickness, respetively, of plates is taken from the respective *SOLID SECTION-thickness $t$, see Section 10.5

$\varrho $

specific weight (not to be confused with specific mass) of reinforcement material – to compute total reinforcement weight



The organization of output data is indicated in header lines of <name>.reinforcement.txt. Every line basically addresses an element integration point. But it is different for plates and slabs, e.g., slabs generally have distinct lower and upper reinforcements and consider shear while this is not distinguished / relevant for plates.
The exact meaning is also illustrated in the Book Example 8.1 for plates and Example 9.2, 9.3 for slabs .
Regarding plate output lines they may be interrupted by lines indicating an iteration to find a solution.
